Don’t you just love learning about new pieces…and getting the opportunity to win one for yourself?
Many of you remember I showed you Tressmerize’s pieces a few years back. Today, I’m sharing two new Tressmerize human hair toppers just introduced this year…and you can win one of them (in your color choice!).
I adore Emina, the founder of Tressmerize, so I was intrigued when I heard that she changed up her product a bit.
Tressmerize was founded as a 2-part system: a small (about 4” by 4”) hair topper coupled with clip-in extensions. You can read more about this original system in this post.
Over time, Tressmerize’s offering has evolved as more and more women with hair loss (and fine, thin hair in general) are opting for full toppers.
While Tressmerize still offers clip-in extensions separately, the topper products have gotten larger (yay!) and longer (double yay!).
Side note: I am a total wash-and-wear girl. I might put some waves into my human hair, but that’s about where my creativity ends. If you love to style and can especially appreciate a gorgeous bohemian look, check out Tressmerize’s Instagram page. There are so many half-up and updo styles that you can create…if you aren’t all thumbs like I am.
The two new hair toppers are called Concealtop and Divinetop.

Both toppers:
- Clip-in
- Have a single monofilament top, so that you can see through the scalp when you part the piece
- Are made of Remy human hair, so it can be colored and styled using heat
- Come in several colors!
I’m going to show you some photos of them straight out of the box, as well as some more “finished” photos on Emina.
As we’ve talked about no less than one ZILLION times on this blog, human hair will need some styling and customization to get it to look 100%. My goal is to show you pieces as close to out of the box as possible, so that you know the raw state of the piece when you purchase.
Ok, let’s unbox both!
I just love the pretty packaging:
Tressmerize Concealtop features
Concealtop is an extremely lightweight piece, with the 16” hair weighing in at 75 grams.
For reference, this is almost exactly HALF the weight of my everyday piece (crazy, huh?). I hope that’s helpful to give you a point of reference!
Concealtop feels like nothing at all, and is a good option for those in the very beginning of their hair loss journey or who are looking to add some volume at the crown.
The base measures 5.5” by 5.5”. Here is the inside:
And here it is, on me:
(Can we talk about something? I think this is the first pic I’ve ever taken that I really noticed some crows’ feet. Is it all downhill from here??)
You can see how much less dense this is than my usual look. This density would be perfect for those of you that want an easy transition into wearing hair, because it won’t look like you are going from nothing to a ton of hair.
This color is Latte.
It’s a pretty, warm medium brown with blonde highlights. It does skew reddish…at least, on me. Then again, almost all human hair looks red on me. #sideeye
The highlights are chunky on this particular color, so if you prefer a more subtle look they can be toned down with some hair dye (I’d root this piece, too, if I planned to wear it. This piece and the one below are shortly going to the Community Try-On Shop for members to play with).
And here you can see the monofilament top. You can see my skin peeking through the lace-like material on the scalp.
Here is Latte on Emina (doesn’t she look like J.Lo here?). I would LOVE this exact color! She added some medium ash brown highlights to customize it, and has a how-to explaining how she did it.

Tressmerize Divinetop features
Divinetop is slightly larger at 6” x 6” and the hair is longer at 20”. The hair is also 105 grams, making the piece heavier than the Concealtop (but still much lighter than what I am used to!).
This color is Mocha*.
Because it is larger, Divinetop is geared towards those who are slightly more advanced in their hair loss than Concealtop wearers. But, as with anything else, it’s really all up to your preferences and how large your area of loss is.
Here is the base:
And here is the Divinetop base (right) compared to the Concealtop (left):
There’s not a huge visual difference but I definitely feel the difference when it’s clipped to my head:
The Tressmerize Divinetop also has a monofilament top, where you can see your own scalp through the scalp of the piece.
As with most any topper with a single monofilament top, you can pluck a few hairs out, if needed, or stipple some concealer on the part line. You can definitely make it your own!

Good luck!!
*Currently, Divinetop is limited in color availability, but more are expected to arrive at the end of this month.
This is very amazing blog and very useful, great work for hair salon.
Thanks for the information about hair toppers
How were the knots on these and the thickness of the rim?
This is a single mono so the knots will be more noticeable than a silk top, however, I’ve never been put off by that. Thickness is not too thick! Nothing out of the ordinary.
I’m too late ☹️ But now I can follow Tressmerize 😊
A good consolation prize. 🙂
Thanks Lauren for sharing about the hair toppers.
I wish there were more medium-dark browns with subtle blonde highlights. And NO red tones.
Any suggestions. I like the idea of the ConcealTop being light and minimal hair.
Honestly, finding that exact product has been the bane of my existence 🙂 You can always start blond and add darker color on top. Human hair, as stock, is just inherently warmer.
Looks great. Bit hairdresser-shy, and ruined a $700 topper following a YouTube video. Any recommendations for diy topper customizing people have had success with?
Hmmm, no one online, unfortunately!
Please remember those of us that have auburn/reddish hair, everyone isn’t a blonde or brunette.
We seem to be left out most of the time, it’s sad but…it’s true!
I do wish more reds were on the market! What kind of red is your hair? Remember, you can always custom color!
need a grey hair natural black topper. do you have any suggestions?
When you say “grey hair natural black”, can you clarify?
I LOVE these new hair toppers! Hair loss has been a recurring problem for me during my journey with autoimmune disease. I look forward to finding out more about the Concealtop!
Yes, soooo lightweight these pieces are!
Thank you so much for this opportunity! I’m a para-educator and make below poverty level salary. I could never afford this. Wish me luck! 🙂
Good luck! 😉
So pretty!
This is a great option for those wanting LESS hair, for once! Many pieces can be heavy on those just starting out.
Thank you, I would love to have a topper like Laurens
